Welcome to our April to June members

Welcome to our new members who joined in April, May and June. If you agree with the Dorset Dogs way of thinking, why not take a look at the Doggy Do Code and sign up to Dorset Dogs. Dog owners who live in or visit Dorset can become members of  Dorset Dogs – there are now well over 2000 Dorset Dogs human members and even more canine ones!

Maisy

Maisy is a 13 week old Cavapoochon who loves walking on the beach and in the forest.

Summer

Summer is a 1 year old Bichon / Jack Russell cross

Herbert

Mary told us that Herbert, the Italian Spinone, is a mud magnet! However, if Mary is working and Herbert is going to lounge on his couch in her office she tries to avoid too much mud – particularly as Herbert can smell water and will take off as fast as he can. He also suffers from car sickness and won’t get in the car so has to be lifted…all 48kg!

Herbert enjoys walks on Parley Common, Boundary Lane, Uddens and Avon Country Park and have just found Canford Park SANG. He also walks on the beaches when available and goes across to Mudeford via the ferry.

Mika

Adopted from the RSPCA at 8 weeks old, Mika the Husky / German Shepherd, Akita or Malamute cross has already enjoyed 2 caravanning trips. This 5 month old regularly walks in local playing fields, by the River Stour and at Slades Farm and is looking forward to visiting the New Forest.

Dr Minty

A 9 year old Pomeranian / Shitzu /Chihuahua cross who walks at Baiter Park, Swanage, Lyme Regis, Tyneham, Hengistbury Head, Homesley Durley Chine, Ham Beach, Sandbanks, Upton Country Park, Wareham and Wareham.

Jason says of Dr Minty “He is our world! One of the family and has left his paw print in our hearts.”

Max

An 11 year old Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen who does not know he is 11 years old and still thinks he’s a puppy. Max has a very loud ‘woof’. His favourite place to walk is Stanpit although he also enjoys walks at Iford and Hengistbury Head.

Yaffa

Yaffa is a Whippet / Collie cross (possibly Saluki) from Bournemouth and her name means beautiful in hebrew. Rachael says that Yaffa is a bit bossy and attention seeking but very sociable.

Their favourite place to walk is Hengistbury Head.

Ralph

Ralph the 2 year old Whippet is very sociable and has great recall (unless he sees a rabbit). Ralph’s favourite walk is at Steamer Point and the beach in Winter and he also regularly walks at Nea Meadows and Highcliffe.

Snoopy

Snoopy is a 7 month old Cockapoo who enjoys walks at Upton Country Park, Slades Farm and Stour Valley Local Nature Reserve.

Hulk

Hulk is very friendly and just loves running around with his four legged friends.

This 2 year old Dalmation walks at Canford Heath, Delph Woods, Hengistbury Head and Canford Park SANG.

Woody

Woody is a 9 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who lives with 2 year old Collie Dexter.

and Dexter

Woody and Dexter love to swim in the river and sniff amongst the trees. They enjoy walks in the Stour Valley and Meyrick Park. In the warmer months their favourite place is the river and in the Winter, Avon Heath and Upton Country Park.

Baby Bear (BB)

Kristie told us that they will be visiting Dorset this Summer and will be sure to follow the Doggy Do Code!

Baby Bear, a Jack Russell / Chihuahua cross enjoys walks in the woodland.

Blaze

Blaze is a Collie possibly Husky cross who regularly walks at Hengistbury Head, Bernard’s Mead, Tuckton Gardens and Jumpers Common.

Mr D’Arcy

Mr D’Arcy from Devon is a small (but not miniature) Cavapoo. Back home in Devon Mr D’Arcy walks in Brixham, Paignton and Dartmouth.

This will be his first visit to Dorset, and Roger and Susanne told us they will be exploring the coastal paths as they know the area well from years of sailing with their children.

Oscar

Oscar is a 9 month old Border Collie / Parsons Jack Russell cross from Poole who walks at Whitecliff and Canford Heath and whose favourite place to walk is Kingston Lacy.

Sadie

Sadie is an 11 week old Labrador.

Jake

A large Collie cross, 9 year old Jake likes to walk at Canford Heath, Hamworthy Lake, Swanage and Sandbanks Beach.

Cassie and Scooby are 7 and 6 year old German Shepherds who regularly walk at Osmington, Broadmayne and Ringstead.

Snowy the Miniature Schnauzer is 6 months old and enjoys walks in Upton Country Park, Broadstone, Drop Woods, Poole Park and Whitecliff.

Poppy Newland a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier walks in Puddletown Forest, Nothe Gardens and Weymouth Beach.

Wilf is a 7 month old Collie from Bournemouth who regularly walks in Muscliff Park and Stour Valley Way.

Oscar a 10 year old Cocker Spaniel regularly walks in Upton Country Park or the New Forest and whose favourite place to walk is Delph Woods.

Sky and Shadow a 10 week old Siberian Husky and 2 year old German Shepherd enjoy walks in the woods or on the beach.

Milo
and Henry a 7 year old Jack Russell / Papillion cross and 3 year old Chihuahua who regularly walk on Avon Beach.

Bear and Frankie a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier and 4 year old small cross breed who enjoy walks at Hamworthy and whose favourite walk is at Upton Country Park or Blue Pool.

Bingo is a 4 year old Border Collie / Beagle cross who Georgina told us loves hanging out with their son. Their favourite place to walk is Cannon Hill.

Ruby and Isaac regularly walk in the woods or near Studland.

Molly is a 3 year old Springador from Poole.

Brodie and Lexi a 5 year old Dalmation and 2 year old Rottweiler love walks in long grass and rivers and getting as muddy as possible. Megan says they are both big, friendly giants. Brodie and Lexi walk at Canford Heath, Upton, Broadstone and Delph Woods.
