Welcome to August’s new members

Say hello to the new members who joined in August 2019. Would you like to become a free member of Dorset Dogs too? Why not take a look at the Doggy Do Code and if you agree with the Dorset Dogs way of thinking join us. Whether you live in Dorset or visit with your dog you can become a member – there are now well over 2000 Dorset Dogs human members and even more canine ones!

Teddy

Teddy loves meeting new four-legged friends at Dorset’s beautiful beaches and countryside. Michelle told us that they try out different walks most weekends – they usually end with a beer in a local pub! You’ll find some of Dorset’s best dog-friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs here.

This Miniature Schnauzer’s favourite places to walk include Studland, Hengistbury Head and the Jurassic Coast.

Bailey

This dapper chap is a Jack Russell from Poole, love the bow-tie Bailey!

and Max

Max is a 4 year old Pom-chi who lives with Bailey.

Max and Bailey regularly enjoy walks at dog-friendly Upton Country Park.

Zorro

Zorro is a young Chihuahua cross from Dogs Trust Salisbury. Paul tells us that he’s very bright, happy, well-behaved and enormous fun to be with!  He loves the car, loves his walks, but (being the multi-faceted dog that he is) he also likes his own quiet time with his cuddly toys.

Chester

Chester, a 5-month-old Cocker, is looking forward to discovering great places to go and meeting new playmates.

Harvey

Harvey is a very friendly dog, who wants to be friends with everyone and loves to run with other Cockapoos. Cathie told us he is currently having fun at tracking classes and does really well at it.

This young Cockapoo’s favourite place to walk is Upton Country Park.

Arthur

Arthur enjoys walks at the Milldown and Stour Meadows and also recommends walks at Badbury Rings, Studland Beach and Fontmell Down. What a wonderfully diverse mix of places! You will find most of those on the out and about pages too!

Arthur enjoys swimming, digging holes on the beach and eating doggy ice cream!

Oscar

This young Podenco is a Spanish rescued dog who loves exploring new walks that have plenty of interesting smells to keep him busy!

Sophia told us that they LOVE the New Forest! “So many different trails, so much to explore, and just breath-taking every trip we take”.

Jack

10-year-old Jack is enjoying a new lease of life after being found to have an underactive thyroid gland. He has lost over 13 kgs in weight over a year – well done Jack!

Border Collie Jack enjoys walks at lots of places including the beautiful new dog-friendly riverside site Canford Park SANG.

Woody

This 8-year-old from Poole looks like maybe having his photo taken is not his favourite thing – but he does enjoy his walks at Whitecliff, Wareham Forest, Studland Beach – parks, woods and beaches, a lovely diverse mix!

Otis

Otis likes to walk around Moreton Lake as he loves to swim but also enjoys exploring new places as he is an adventurous dog, so he’s another one who may enjoy some of our guided walkies! Shauna says that he is a crazy pug who never stops.

Jess

Cheryl told us that Jess is a loving, friendly dog, good with adults, children and other dogs. Her favourite place is the beach as she just loves the water and swimming.

BB

This German Shepherd from Blandford likes to take his favourite walk along Wareham’s historic walls and river.

Sparky

At just 4-months-old Sparky the Jug isn’t quite ready to venture further as she hasn’t had her second jabs yet, but Jennifer says she’s looking forward to walks at Upton Country Park.

Arlo

Arlo is a puppy so he’s full of beans and lots of fun! Nicola told us that they enjoy walking along the River Stour and around Delph Woods and are looking forward to finding more walks and places to explore as Arlo gets older! Hope you can join us for walkies Arlo!

Oscar

Master hide-and-seek player Oscar is a 12-year-old Westie who walks all around Dorset but regularly enjoys Ferndown, Wimborne, Hengistbury Head and the New Forest.

and Sasha

Sasha is a 3-year-old Newfoundland who lives with Oscar. Happy snoozing Sasha!

Max

Max is an 8-year-old Great Dane, he lives with Phoebe and walks the Stour Valley.

and Phoebe

Six-year-old Phoebe is also a majestic Great Dane and lives in Bournemouth with Max.

Isla

This 5-month-old Sprocker pup enjoys walking in Poole Park, looks like she’s had a good run!

and not forgetting…

Otto is a lovely mixture of breeds who regularly walks around the Swanage area and Wareham Forest and whose favourite places to walk are Swanage Beach, Prince Albert Gardens and Peveril Point. Will you be joining us in Swanage for our Christmas Walkies Otto?

Sam and Scooby are 14-year-old cross-breeds from Poole who enjoy walks at Pocket Park Broadstone, Upton Country Park and Creekmoor.

Keefa is an English Springer Spaniel rescued dog, he walks the parks and countryside around Swanage, Wareham Forest and Middlebere.

Bubbles is an English Springer Spaniel who walks at Baiter Park, Poole Park and Hamworthy Park.

Hollie (Collie) and Lokie (Lab/Collie) enjoy walks on the beach as well as open countryside.

Golden Retriever Brodie and Pyrenean Mountain Dog Troy love cuddles, food and walkies at Canford Park SANG, where we held the Dorset Dogs Festival 2019. Find lots of photos of the SANG on Dorset Dogs’ Facebook page! Brodie and Troy have their own Instagram account!

Nellypig, an English Bull Terrier, comes from Bournemouth and enjoys walks on her local common and public footpaths across the golf course as well as riverside walks at Longham.

Nelson is a 4-month-old Cockapoo who is beginning to explore Queens Park, Stour Valley Nature Reserve and Hengistbury Head, but the beaches are his favourite.

Tommy is a young Border Collie from Poole, he walks all around the Bearwood area, have you found Canford Park SANG Tommy? Lovely long walks there!

Last but not least, Greyhound Mic likes to walk at Wareham Forest and Knoll Beach, Studland as well as the woods around Bere Regis.
