Bindi

Patterdale Terrier Bindi regularly walks the beaches around Portland Harbour and the Fleet Lagoon with Charlie.

Charlie

Charlie lives with Bindi – the beaches are their happy place where they can run, dig, swim and chase. To check out dog-friendly beaches in Dorset look at the ‘out and about‘ pages!

Gordon 2306 cropped

Gordon

Gordon the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is 11 years old and still loves exploring and looking for new places to visit, preferably open spaces as Gordon doesn’t much like the towns. Gordon is happiest running along the edge of the shoreline and regularly walks on Happy Island, West Bay and in and around Bridport.

Bella

Bella is a ‘beautiful little black Romanian rescue dog’ who has been with her family since October 2018 when she was 8 months old. She has grown greatly in confidence, is very sociable and loves meeting new dogs and owners. Bella walks at lots of local dog-friendly places including Corfe Mullen Rec, Delph Woods, Canford Park SANG and Upton Country Park.

Also joining in November were:

Arlo the 10-month-old Labrador/Setter, a friendly dog who is always keen to make friends. He is still very young despite his large appearance and so often is very bouncy, he is a baby who thinks he is tiny still. Arlo is learning quickly and is part of Purbeck Agility Group where he is doing obedience training and working towards his Kennel Club Good Citizenship Awards. He loves to run, finding massive sticks and swimming. You could check out the training page if you are thinking of doing some training like Arlo!

Bagel is a Beagle. Bagel the Beagle is one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet and enjoys walks on Sandbanks Beach and Whitecliff Harbourside Park. We love that name-play!

Mungo and Amber are an unusal couple, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Papillon. They regularly walk at Chewton Common, Highcliffe Beach, Undercliff and the extended walk via zig-zag, Highcliffe Castle to Mudeford Beach Huts and return along the beach to Chewton Bunny to Walkford. They also enjoy Stanpit Rec – do you visit the new extended area out to Riversmeet too? It’s adjacent to Stanpit Rec, and is also off-lead all year round (whilst Stanpit Marsh, adjacent on the other side, is on-lead due to specific wildlife and grazing animals there).

Jasper, a Shih-Tzu, regularly walks in Sherborne and enjoys the dog-friendly part of the beach at Weymouth.

Daisy is an Pointer cross who walks in lots of places across Dorset including Cannon Hill Woods and Delph Woods, check them out, they are on the ‘out & about‘ pages.

Luna is a 9-year-old Great Dane.

Alfie the Schnoodle walks on the North Dorset Trailway. Alfie especially enjoys Ringstead beach.

Cockapoo Oscar was rescued in March last year, his family have gained his trust and are now working on him being able to trust friendly strangers. He has done a puppy course and is now starting agility and a life skills class weekly. Sue told us she hopes that years of togetherness have just started. Oscar enjoys walks at Duncliffe Woods, Blandford Forest, Trailway and Piddle Woods.
