Say Hello to our Summer New Members

Apologies to everyone who has been waiting for their joining photos to be added to the new members page – we have moved to administering new members on a quarterly basis.

Welcome to the new members who joined in Summer 2021. Would you like to become a free member of Dorset Dogs too? Why not take a look at the Doggy Do Code and if you agree with the Dorset Dogs way of thinking Join us. Whether you live in Dorset or visit with your dog you can become a member – there are now well over 2000 Dorset Dogs human members and even more canine ones!

Poker

Poker is a 12 year old Kokoni, who is a rescue and his family’s first dog.

Despite his age he can run really fast and is a very loving family dog. Poker enjoys walks around the fields where he lives, where there are amazing views and it’s peaceful and beautiful. Sounds like this senior gent has found the perfect home.

Layla

This Cockerpoo loves walking on the beach and taking in the lovely sea views.

Ziggy

Still just a pup, Ziggy the German Shepherd hasn’t been able to explore much yet but is hoping to find her favourite places to walk soon. She has been out and about in a stroller for socialisation which is going very well so far.

Barney

Barney is another young pup who has only just had his second vaccinations and is looking forward to enjoying walks along the beach, the forest and exploring the local area.

This Cockapoo is extremely friendly with all humans and dogs.

Mikey

Mikey is a rescue dog and has only very recently joined his family, so at the time of joining had not begun to explore yet and was enjoying local walks in the evening (because the weather was so hot).

This Border Collie and his family are looking forward to discovering some good dog walks.

Cooper and Chester

These Border Collies are friendly dogs who enjoy swimming but are not keen on having a bath.

Cooper and Chester’s owners told us that they are a wonderful addition to their family.

Puddles

Puddles the Working Cocker Spaniel enjoys walks on a dog friendly beach early on a beautiful Summer day.

Ziggy and Dexter

Ziggy and Dexter are both Cockapoos who enjoy a lovely stroll alongside the many wonderful river and beach walks that Dorset has within its landscape.

Skye

Introducing this young Border Collie pup – don’t be shy Skye – what a fab photo!

Biscuit

Biscuit is a Chihuahua and Shih Tzu cross who clearly loves to chill out and take things easy with a well earned water break.

Jago

Jago the German Shepherd is a rescue dog in training. Keep up the good work Jago!

Stuart the Springer Spaniel is a young pup from Yorkshire who enjoyed his first visit to Dorset this Summer. Stuart’s family have holidayed in Dorset for the last 15 years and enjoy walks all over the County. If you’re visiting Dorset and looking for places to walk take a look at our Out & About page.

Fizz is a Border Collie who likes to walk mainly in places where she can be off lead, she has very good recall and is good with other dogs. Clearly a great example for our Doggy Do Code. You can find out more about our Doggy Do Code page by clicking on the link.

Barley has only lived in Dorset for a short time so is keen to find new places to explore. This Cocker Spaniel likes to walk in places where there are lots of smells as it makes for an interesting walk.

Milo the King Charles Spaniel enjoys walks in the local country park and also dog friendly beaches.

Mutley and Teddy, a Pomeranian cross and Shih Tzu recommend Upton Country Park as a great place to walk. You can find Upton Country Park and other great places to walk on our Out & About page.

Susie and Charlie, a Cocker Spaniel and Shih Tzu enjoy walks in the lovely Christchurch area.

Sacky is an 18 month Sporting Lucas Terrier who is very lively with lots of energy!

Hazel the Border Collie loves her walkies, she loves saying hello to humans and enjoys a fuss but is not always sure of all dogs. There are lots of reasons why some dogs need space – have you heard of the Yellow Dog Scheme? Find out more in our Wagipawdia.

Scout and Timber, a Working Cocker Spaniel and cross breed love to walk in their nearest woods or forest area.

Mabel is a one year old Cockerpoo who would recommend walks around the wonderful Purbeck region.

Mabel is another young Cockerpoo who enjoys walks in parks, on the beach and in the forest.

Daisy and Rosie, a Yorkshire Terrier and Chihuahua are total opposites – affectionately known by their family as Crazy Daisy and Dozey Rosie.

Bertie is a young Cocker Spaniel. Welcome to the Dorset Dogs members Bertie!

Poppy and Nala are 14 year old and 5 year old Labradors who would recommend walks at Hengistbury Head in Winter.

Trixie is a young Labrador puppy so hasn’t been on any lengthy walks yet however Trixie’s family told us that they used to have a lovely Flat Coated Retriever and their walks were anywhere nearby any water.

Max a Jack Russell and Shih Tzu cross enjoys walks on the beach in winter and in the summer somewhere with a stream or river to paddle.
