Dorset Dogs Festival 2015 - the annual celebration of dogs, green spaces and the countryside returns this summer! destined to become a fascinating doggy encyclopaedia - what information do you think should be included?

Dog-friendly Dorset - by popular demand!  So many people, locals & visitors, ask for our advice about dog-friendly places in Dorset… we're just starting to build this new section - check it out.

Businesses - free pilot

Whether you're just one person who offers dog walking, a dog-centred business, a visitor attraction or a holiday accommodation provider, are you interested in appearing on the website?  We're running a free pilot until the end of January.  After that there will be an annual fee of around £30 for most businesses, helping to support Dorset Dogs work across Dorset.

Are you interested in appearing on our contacts pages or having an entry about the work you do in our Wagipawdia section?  Get in touch, it's free for charities.

Dog bags Don't forget you can get Dorset Dogs' good quality pick-up bags at about cost price from more outlets now!

Pit stops - Volunteers please! can you spare a day or even two (or more!) in 2015?  We're looking for volunteers to go along to fun dog shows and similar events for Dorset Dogs.  We're holding an evening so you can come along to find out more - check the date below.  If you can't make that date please get in touch anyway!  Just reply to this email with your email address if you might be interested.

People often think we're quite a big organisation but actually there's only one person specifically employed for Dorset Dogs work, and they're only supposed to be working 2.5 days a week.  So I can't tell you just how valuable your help would be.

Thank you all for getting involved - in our competitions and surveys, Facebook or events or simply using the website.  The results of surveys you have taken part in will soon be shared on Wagipawdia.

Responsible ownership - If you're new to dog ownership the doggy do code is a useful checklist on how to be a responsible owner when you're out & about.  At this time of year if you visit the wetlands or the coast at be aware of the struggle that birds may be experiencing and try not to disturb the flocks.
