Barking Mad But all for a Good Paws!
Walking over 150 miles in 6 days in aid of Rescue Animals
On Tuesday the 5th April, Julie Beale, Hannah Dunn, Niki Ging and Catherine Jones will be embarking on a sponsored walk of epic proportion in order to raise money for Margaret Green Animal Rescue.  They will of course be accompanied by some of their four legged friends as they journey by foot from the Tavistock branch down in Devon to the Head Office/Animal Sanctuary in Church Knowle, Dorset.
Their first leg is approximately 27miles taking them to Bow in Crediton in an impressive 8 ½ hours followed by another 5 long hard days of trekking up hill and down dale. The final leg of the walk will complete at Church Knowle where they can collapse and tend to their blisters with a nice cup of tea and some cake!
They will be followed along the way by a support van which will be able to take any contributions on route. All encouragement offered along the way will be gratefully received and do feel free to join in for a few miles if you wish. MGAR are very grateful to Arden Grange for donating food for the dogs during this walk.
With more and more animals in need of care, MGAR rely on your support to provide much needed funds so that their work can continue.
Please help by sponsoring the team of very keen walkers, either online on or contact the MGAR Tavistock branch on 01822 810215.

Hi everyone - that sounds like quite a trip the gals at Margaret Green Animal Rescue are undertaking - wish I could go to!

Thanks to all the wellwishers following my skin infection. It's all cleared up now but the hair is slow in coming back (I heard Becky at Haydon's vet say that some of it might not ever grow back - something to do with damaged hair follicles ...whatever that means)

I'm having  a great time now that the Agility Club is back after the holidays (mum ran one of the evenings last week). Also I am moving up a class to the competition standard group at Rosemary's obedience training - and may enter competitions myself later in the year.

Mum and dad are away from 2nd to 14th Feb and Nanny and Grandad will look after me and a couple of my favourite chums. Helen and Freddy are going to be doing the scheduled dog walks, hope they have a lovely time. New enquiries and bookings won't be possible when mum and dad are away but all previously booked/scheduled work is covered.

See you on Sunday for the Last Sunday Walk

Cat Nap Time

Just a couple of lines to remind you that once we're back from our break Maria will be focusing on our new pet care service, namely Dog Grooming. She is offering reduced rates while she completes her training at Kingston Maurwood (it's going very well, with top of the class marks so far!).

Also we are filling up quickly for 2011 for our Doggie Stay Over, homeboarding alternative to kennels. It's always popular, why not let your dog have a seaside holiday while you are away? We have many, many happy and returning doggie friends  - it's not just some salesy push to get bookings, we really do and are filling up fast. Book your dogs holiday now - whether you are away for business or pleasure, while spaces are still available.

Thanks to all our readers, clients and friends
Best Wishes from Matt, Maria, Hannah and all the Petpals Team
