IF you send in a photo of your dog when you join online you will automatically be one of our 'Dogs of the Month'!

Did you know Dogs of the Month have their own special class at Dorset Dogs' annual Festival?

Don't forget we'd LOVE to see you with your dog in the photos too!

Welcome to our August members.....

Tilly 1889

Tilly is a 19 month Labrador / Collie / German Shepherd cross.  Alice told us that Tilly is a lively, intelligent girl who loves her ball and a game of chase from time to time.  Tilly regularly walks on Canford Heath in the Autumn and Winter, particularly in the morning as it is so peaceful and in the Summer she enjoys the beach as she loves the water.  That's great for the birds who nest on the ground on the heath too!

It's great to enjoy our beautiful Dorset beaches & shores all year round - do look out for the huge flocks of birds who come in for the winter, they're fascinating to watch!

The flocks may be exhausted and hungry after long journeys or trying to survive the winter so we can help by keeping our distance and making sure our dogs do too, so they can feed and rest in peace. Find out more about them or do our quiz by clicking here!

You'll find all year round dog friendly beaches on the Out & About pages.

Millie 1890
