Join us on a walkies to explore this beautiful countryside immediately before the Dorset Dogs Festival 2019 opens! Meet on the Festival field by the Dorset Dogs stand. Canford Park SANG is a large area with good paths, free parking, dog bins and all in a gorgeous riverside setting. 2m height barrier into car park but there are a couple of spaces just outside gate or on adjacent lane if your vehicle is higher, (allow extra 5 mins to walk down drive). Canford Park is on part of the old Canford Magna golf course, Knighton Lane off Magna Road. Opposite new development. Nb not the Canford Park Arena! Shade under trees available and an area where dogs can paddle in the river.
A great walk for this time of year if you’re looking for places your dog can have a good off-lead run – on heaths, downs and wetlands some rarer birds who nest on the ground are rearing young so we need to keep our dogs on paths in those areas – at Canford Park SANG they can run freely off the paths.
