Guided walkies at Moors Valley Paws in the Park
22 April 2018 11:00 - 12:30
Meet at the Moors Valley Paws in the Park special event, Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, BH24 2ET.
Guided walkies around Moors Valley Country Park lake and forest, taking place as part of their special 'Paws in the Park' day. The photo shows Forestry Commission Ranger Linda and her Ranger Dog Tara on our walk-through - I can confirm it will be a lovely walk!
Linda will be leading us around the lake and forest for roughly an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half, paths suitable for pushchairs, on-lead around the lake, off-lead but on the paths through the forest. We will be starting and finishing at the Paws in the Park event area.
If you use a mobility vehicle or wheelchair the paths around the lake and picnic area may be suitable for you (but the forest paths would probably require a 'tramper' type mobility vehicle). Hope to see you there!
Normally we would say 'bring waterproofs/warm clothing/sunhat' according to the weather but at the moment we're at a bit of a loss to know which to advise it's one extreme to the other! So do try to wear layers that you can take on or off as necessary, wear sunscreen in case and of course wear shoes, boots or trainers that are comfortable to walk in, taking into account if it is wet or dry over the weekend.
Free walkies but parking charges apply if you park at the Country Park car park. Find out more about Moors Valley including all the fantastic facilities, accessibility info and parking charges at https://
