20 May 2018 10:00 - 16:00
Knoll Beach National Trust Car Park, Studland, near BH19 3AH.
Great free family event (car park charges apply unless you're a NT member) and dogs can come too!
Come and enjoy childrens activities, find out about local wildlife and management of the area and
have a go at some just-for-fun doggy activities- novices welcome!
Dorset Dogs pit stop will be there, you'll also find activities and information galore at the stands of the Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Trust (ARC), Dorset Wildlife Trust, the Forestry Commission, firefighters from DWFRS, Dorset Police, the National Trust rangers, the Plantlife/Back from the Brink stand and the Urban Heaths Partnership travelling trailer (don't miss the diorama).
You can even do a landrover safari across the heath with the NT rangers (someone will have to stay behind with your dog - go and have a cuppa at the dog-friendly tables outside the cafe?), those are running between 10am and 2.30pm.
LOOK at all these extra activities too: ARC are telling us all about the reptiles that live in Dorset at their Reptile Talk between 12-12.30pm whilst starting at 13.30pm from the Back from the Brink stand there's an hour's 'Living Fossil' walk followed by a Forest Wildlife talk at the Forestry Commission stand staring at 14:45pm for about half an hour.
