What a wonderful day!

Dogs from all over Dorset gathered at Upton Country Park last Saturday for this year’s annual celebration of dogs and the countryside.  Wonderful dog-dancing displays and great agility activities for dogs combined with a host of colourful stalls and the fun of the dog show to make the day special.

Can you help us to record our coastal heritage before it is lost?

Can you take regular photos when you visit the coast? Or would you like archaelogical survey training?

Poppy at LulworthFrom Lindisfarne to Land's End, much of our island's history is simply being washed away as significant archaeological sites are continually eroded by winds, waves, tidal scour and winter storms. CITiZAN was launched in 2015 and will train volunteer teams to record and monitor archaeological sites.

We will be organising outreach and training events across Dorset and we are currently recruiting volunteers who would like to be involved, whether it is just helping us to monitor sites by taking regular photographs or if you would like to receive training in archaeological survey techniques we need your help to record sites before they are lost.                                                                                               more
