Love Dogs... Love Nature

October 2017 New Members

IF you send in a photo of your dog when you join online you will automatically be one of our 'Dogs of the Month'!

Did you know Dogs of the Month have their own special class at Dorset Dogs' annual Festival?

Don't forget we'd LOVE to see you with your dog in the photos too!

Welcome to our October members.....

This 4 year old Labrador from Poole is a regular walker at Baiter Park.

Bailey not only enjoys walking in the woods but also loves water and swimming particularly in Studland.

During the spring & summer months we're asked by local Rangers to inform people about where they need to be aware of birds nesting on the grounds on heaths or other specialised habitats - in autumn and winter it's the birds who flock to our Dorset coast who need extra care....

The flocks may be exhausted and hungry after long journeys or simply trying to survive the winter so we can help by keeping our distance and making sure our dogs do too, so they can feed and rest in peace. Find out more about them or do our quiz by clicking here!

Buster is a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who regularly walks at Upton Heath and Upton Country Park.

Nicky describes Buster as 'very friendly but quite vocal'. He loves swimming and meeting other dogs.

Milly was born in the corner of a kiwi farm in New Zealand so she had a very long journey to get here.

This 7 year old cross enjoys walks in Southbourne clifftop, Upton Country Park and Poole Park.

Sally told us that 8 year old Billy is her second rescue dog from the charity Serbia's Forgotten Paws.

This Terrier mix regularly walks in Poundbury, Hardy's Monument, Maiden Castle, Higher Bockhampton, Portland Bill, Hive Beach and Weymouth.

Casper is a 5 year old Bichon Frise who lives with Molly and together they regularly walk on the beach.

We met Casper and Molly at our recent Pit Stop on Swanage seafront.

and Molly

Marie says that 'Casper and Molly are both very spoilt. Casper likes his food and treats and Molly is a little thief!'

New members who've already used the 'join us' form or who joined at pit stops - if you didn't send in a photo remember you can always add your photos later, just send to: with your name and a bit about your dog and/or where you like to walk.  Don't forget we'd love to see you in the photo too!

Welcome to to everyone else who's joined this month:

TEDDYa 3 month old French Bulldog who enjoys walks in on the beach and in the park.

LOU LOU a 15 week old Labrador is not old enough to walk too far so at the moment visits a local green space. Marie told us that they hope Lou Lou will be training in medical detection work to aid their two diabetic sons.

CHARLIE a 5 and a half year old Minature Schnauzer from Lytchett Minster regularly walks at Upton Country Park and on Studland Beach. Patricia says 'I just wouldn't want to be without him!'

FRANKIE is a Minature Dachshund from Poole who has recently moved into the area and loves walking on the beaches of Poole and Bournemouth. Frankie's other favourite spots are Talbot Heath, Upton Country Park and Hengistbury Head.

HARVEY is our final member for October, a 14 month old Labrador who according to Susan 'loves going into bogs - fresh or sea water is fine with us'. When not in bogs or water, Harvey enjoys a walk at Badbury, Merley, Holt Heath and Delph Woods.
