This ancient wood is at its best when its breathtaking carpets of bluebells, wood anemones and primroses are in bloom (mid-April to the end of May). Look for signs of badgers and fallow deer. There are common woodland birds in spring and turtle doves in spring and summer.
Dogs are only allowed on public footpaths and bridleways. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
Please pick up your dog's waste. Note: There are no dog waste bins provided on site.
How to find Garston Wood: From Sixpenny Handley, take the Bowerchalk road (Dean Lane). Keeping right proceed for approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and Garston Wood car park will be reached on the left-hand side of the road indicated by a finger post on the right-hand side of the road.
