Visiting Dorset

Dorset Dogs will be setting up a dog-friendly Dorset page covering accommodation, transport, visitor attractions, pubs, cafes & restaurants ready for next year’s new holiday season, so if you fall into one of those categories get in touch! Email: dorsetdogs@dorsetcc.gov.uk

Dorset’s official visitor website

Some of Dorset’s Tourist Information Centres and Visitor Centres offer Dorset Dogs pick-up bags (most at cost price) so you can stock up and find out lots of useful holiday information all at the same time!  Go to: Dog Pick-up Bags

Out & About

Dorset Dogs ‘Out & About’ pages describe all sorts of different areas of Dorset, from coast to countryside and green spaces.

The Out & About pages give you information about lots of places, some of these are ideal for dog walking all year round and have large off-lead areas and special facilities for dogs, others are more sensitive sites such as nature reserves, heathland or grazed sites, so these pages are designed to give you the information you need to decide the best place to go with your dog at the time you are visiting and to help you be aware of wildlife or other sensitivities so that you can avoid causing harm and thoroughly enjoy your visit to Dorset.
